One of my favorite Chuck Norris movies. Chuck works as security for a family owned Hong Kong Casino. The Mob moves in to violently take over the Casino. Chuck gets his vengeance.
The above montage was brought to us by themachman19691, who put together a montage of some of the best scenes.

June is Old School Movie Month
Posted in Uncategorized with tags Black and White Movies, Edward G Robinson, Humphery Bogart, James Cagney, Silent Gangster Films on June 2, 2009 by mobflixBefore Pesci, De Niro, and Pacino, there was Cagney, Bogart, and Robinson. June is Old School month where we will profile the movies from the early days of movies. Organized Crime Movies were not invented with the Godfather but have been around since silent films.
The roaring 20′s and the depression era of the 1930′s brought us some fantastic movies. Some of these films such as “The Public Enemy,” were cutting edge and controversial for their day. In many of these scenes, you wont see the graphic sex or violence, it is implied. But that doesn’t mean the impact is lost in these movies. They are still powerful.
So for June, we honor the Old School Black & White films, the classics.
Prison Month Continues with Burt Reynolds in The Longest Yard
Posted in Movies, Prison Movies, Uncategorized with tags Burt Reynolds, The Longest Yard on April 28, 2009 by mobflixThis time we go old school with the original 1974 movie, The Longest Yard, starring Burt Reynolds as an NFL QB who gets busted in a car chase and has to do prison time. While in Prison, Reynolds is asked to put together a football team of prisoners to take on the prison guard team.
Below is a kickass compilation video set to the tune “Click Click Boom” by Saliva. This video was created by http://www.youtube.com/user/wackitobacki
Eddie Albert plays the Warden and Richard Kiel (Jaws in James Bond) is Samson.
Although Adam Sandler did a nice remake and paid homage to Burt Reynolds in the original, there’s nothing like the first time around.
The Longest Yard is one of our favorite Prison Movies and wackitobacki does a great job putting it together with just the right music.

Ever seen the Godfather on a football field before?
Posted in Uncategorized on August 7, 2008 by mobflix
This week’s blog is about execution – literally and figuratively. This weekend is the Drum & Bugle Corps International (DCI) Championships in Bloomington Indiana. As an homage to these hard working individuals, we are proud to show you the Blue Devils Drum & Bugle Corps, from Concord, CA, and their interpretation of the Godfather from 2006.
Watch how well they execute their performance. While watching this feature, not only are you hearing the musical score from the film, but pay attention to the following visual cues:
- Marionette strings
- Cross that turns into a dagger in a heart
- Horse head flags
- Empty chair with hat and roses
Enjoy
My Latest Obsession – MyLeftFootLoose.com
Posted in Uncategorized on August 5, 2008 by mobflixIf you are a movie fanatic like I am you will not be able to resist this website. http://www.myleftfootloose.com is a site dedicated to mashing up movies. Combine two or more movies and see what happens.
Ever since I found this site, I am constantly thinking of movie mashups from mobster flicks (of course) to sci fi flicks that are ripe for mashing.
Here are a few examples of what you can find on http://www.myleftfootloose.com:
- Lean On Me + Roger & Me = Lean On Roger & Me
- It Came From Outer Space + Office Space = It Came From Office Space
- The Sure Thing + The Swamp Thing = The Sure Swamp Thing
- Mel Brooks’ Silent Movie + Silence of the Lambs = Mel Brooks Silent Movie of the Lambs
Be warned, once you start, you wont be able to stop.
Vote For Your Favorite Car Chase Scene
Posted in Uncategorized on July 29, 2008 by mobflixVote for your favorite car chase scene. Let us know if you have a different favorite scene.
- The French Connection
- To Live and Die in L.A.
- Bullitt
- The Transporter
- Gone in 60 Seconds
- Fast and Furious
- Ronin
- Bad Boys II
I cannot decide between To Live and Die in L.A. and The Transporter.
To Live and Die in L.A - There is a fantastic chase scene where the two Secret Service Agents are being chased across L.A. This scene involves the agents driving down an L.A. freeway in the reverse direction dodging oncoming traffic head on.
The Transporter - The scene involves the Transporter ditching the police by parking his car on a moving auto transport truck to evade the police.
Vote for your favorite or add a new one that may not be listed above. Tell us your favorite car chase scene.
